How does Papercuts NZ work?
  • At Papercuts NZ, we exclusively offer our range of cards, bookmarks and gift tags for sale to support fundraising activities. We don't sell our products directly to the public.
  • Our product range is offered through Raised, the online fundraising platform that helps schools, clubs and community organisations create and run fundraising activities.

How does Papercuts support your fundraising activities?
  • As a wholesaler on the Raised platform, our full range of our cards, bookmarks and gift tags are available for you to offer your community as a fundraising activity, whether this be for a one-off event or as an ongoing initiative.
  • To get started, it's quick and easy to create a campaign on Raised and start selling our product range within your community. This can be set-up as a stand-alone fundraiser or to sit alongside and compliment your other fundraising initiatives.
  • Our Papercuts NZ products are typically offered as 'mix & match' meaning you can select any number of our cards, bookmarks or gift tags to make up an order, subject to a minimum $10 order size. Alternatively, we have pre-selected bundles of 5 cards, 5 bookmarks or 10 gift tags available.
  • Fundraisers receive a minimum 30% margin on the value of the products sold. This is based on our recommended retail price (RRP) for each product. It is possible for you to increase the RRP if you believe your community will accept a higher price and this will increase the margin you can earn.

What is the advantage of using Raised for your fundraising?
  • Raised provides a secure online platform for fundraisers to sell local products or collect donations. It has multiple payment options, analytics to track sales and the progress of your campaign, as well as other features to help you succeed in your fundraising goals.
  • The Raised platform is free to use, with no set-up fees or subscriptions and no hidden costs.
  • Raised securely accepts sales through multiple payment methods, whether this is cash, bank transfer or credit/debit card payment and also handles the payment processing.
  • Accepting payment by credit/debit card attracts fees and charges and the fundraiser has the option of either absorbing these costs or asking supporters to absorb them so that the fundraiser receives the full payment amount for each order. Fees and charges are outlined on the Raised website here.
  • To accept credit/debit card orders, fundraisers will need to set-up a Stripe account. The Stripe set-up process and new account registration is straightforward and can be created on the Stripe website here.
  • The Raised website's help section is a great resource for answering Fundraiser questions and providing additional information on how to get started, setting up your account and the different payment methods offered. It also gives a range of tips and examples, including fundraising campaign timelines and how/when Stripe payments are processed.
  •  To set up a free account on Raised and start your fundraiser click here and follow the steps to create your account.

How are fundraiser payments processed through a Raised account?
  • Orders are placed with, and processed through, the Raised platform and bank transfer or credit/debit card payment is made at that time. For cash payments, the order is placed but not confirmed until payment has been received into the bank account linked to the fundraiser's Raised account.
  • Regardless of the payment option(s) selected by you as the fundraiser, all bank transfer and credit/debit card payments made by your community are paid directly into the bank account linked to your Raised account.
  • For cash payments, orders are placed through your Raised fundraiser in the same way as other payment options. Instead of payment being made immediately however, an invoice is generated with the order details and amount to be paid. The supporter placing the order is then responsible for giving the order reference details and cash amount payable directly to the fundraiser for payment into the fundraiser's bank account or alternatively, the fundraiser can provide the bank account information at the start of the fundraising activity so that cash payments can be to deposited directly into this account by supporters.

What payment does Papercuts NZ receive?
  • At the completion of the fundraising activity, Papercuts NZ will send an invoice to the fundraiser for the total value of the orders received, less the margin payable to the fundraiser and the estimated postage costs for the bulk order.
  • The margin amount earned by the fundraiser will be a minimum of 30%. The final margin amount will depend on the mix of products sold (some products have a margin higher than 30% at their RRP), and whether the fundraiser has opted to sell any or all products at more than the RRP suggested by Papercuts NZ.

How are orders fulfilled by Papercuts NZ?
  • When the fundraiser has paid the Papercuts NZ invoice, we will begin processing all individual orders placed.
  • Orders will be sent for printing and when completed, each item ordered will be packaged in a cellophane bag and then bundled and tagged with individual order details.
  • The full order will then be bulk packaged and sent by courier to the fundraiser for distribution to, or collection by, their supporters. This is the most cost effective way for Papercuts NZ to deliver orders.
  • Please allow about 14 days from completion of your fundraising activity for the orders to be delivered.
